Returning to School or Daycare

In general, a child should not return to school or daycare until they have had no fever for 24 hours. Please keep in mind that individual illnesses have different times of contagion. There is no set rule for all viruses or bacterial illnesses. Some rashes are not contagious, but others are. Please check with your own school or daycare for specific guidelines.

Hospitals where we have admitting privileges

Stone Springs Hospital Center

Please note that as of Saturday, November 14, 2020, Farrell and South Riding Pediatrics will no longer round on newborns at INOVA Fair Oaks or Reston Hospitals. Newborns born at these hospitals will be seen by hospitalist pediatricians and advised when to make a first appointment with our office. We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to seeing all newborns in the office.
